A confident execution, this design has thoughtfully considered not just the client’s brief, but its context within its landscape. This house is all about the views. By cleverly positioning the house on the property and planning the house into three separate wings. The client can simply shut off and open up rooms as required through a series of sliding pocket doors. Considering these different combinations of occupation, the views have been framed so that no matter the arrangement of space, there is no impact on the outlook. The single storey house sits within the landscape rather than above it. With a clever selection of materials and finishes, such as rusty steel and timber cladding, the house will intentionally weather and change overtime, as with the environment.
